Bloody Maria Cocktails
See all that floating horseradish? Sit up straight and just drink it. This Bloody Maria is missing olives, celery, and bacon. Full disclosure: Not my picture, not my recipe. Try the one below.
Find a cool glass that has a little heft to it so when you have the second one you won’t throw it over your shoulder (*refer to the bartender’s trick of replacing a heavy glass mug with a plastic mug after the customer has had a few beers)
Fill 3/4 of the way with V8 (I mean you CAN use tomato juice, but why?)
Add worcestershire sauce, horse radish, celery salt, dill, fenugreek. Stir vigorously. Add large amounts of white liquor (Newbies might want to stick with vodka, more adventurous types can graduate to rum (Maria), gin (Red Snapper) tequila (watch out, friends… Bloody Invincible) or even whiskey (weird)
Add your favorite garnishes
Sip carefully once. Adjust as necessary and down it. L’Chaim!
